TIROTEX HAS BECOME THE RESIDENT OF THE BUY-PRODUCTS-MADE-IN-TRANSNISTRIA PROJECT! 24 August 2017

The Transnistrian region is rich in talented people, unique producers, leaders in the light industry. The Government of the PMR has announced the year 2017 as the Year of the Entrepreneur, and therefore the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the PMR took the initiative to organize fairs in all cities of the republic to promote local products.

The benefit of this project for the Transnistrian producers is undoubted, as this initiative allows them to compete with similar imported products. But such promotion is not enough to engage the hearts of consumers. It is necessary to offer high-quality and competitive products meeting the global quality standards.

Tirotex Textile Company – the leader of texile industry in the eastern and southern stretches of Europe – has successfully coped with the task. The company presented its products at the fairs in four cities of Pridnestrovie: Tiraspol, Bendery, Dnestrovsk and Slobodzeya. The next fair, which will be held on August 27 in Kamenka, is timed to the Town Day. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of PMR has planned holding sales exhibitions in other cities (Grigoriopol, Dubossary and Rybnitsa) until the end of September.

The General Director of Tirotex, Andrey Mezhinsky, noted the positive effect of the participation of the textile company in this event: "The interest of visitors, attending the fair, in our products has exceeded our expectations. It is gratifying that the textile products of the domestic producer are in demand and are popular among the Transnistrians. Participation in the fair is a great opportunity to demonstrate the high quality of our products, which are not just as good as the products of foreign manufacturers, but are of better quality by the majority of criteria. We have an opportunity to offer bed and table assortment for the residents of two cities in which the products of Tirotex are not represented in retail stores - in Slobodzeya and Dnestrovsk. Also, the letters of gratitude from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of PMR and city administrations, where the fairs were held, have become a pleasant bonus for us. I think we have successfully made a significant contribution to the implementation of the Government`s strategy to promotion of local products."

As a result of participation in this project, the sales volume of Tirotex has significantly increased. The Deputy Director General, Irina Chekan, highly appreciated the results of participation in this project: "We have not missed a single fair and we can make sure it is necessary not only for us, local producers, but also for buyers who should be interested in attractive prices and high quality of the Transnistrian products . Tirotex exemplify a positive economic effect of the fairs – we have had very goods sales these days. For comparison, the sales volume at the fair was almost four times bigger than in our most popular store in the Stchastliviy Mir shopping center."

The head of the retail department of Tirotex, Lucia Motova, summed up the company`s participation in the project: "I want to note the activity of the residents of Dnestrovsk. They have bought almost all table and kitchen linen we brought to the fair. Night-gowns, bathrobes and pillows were in great demand as well. We are very attentive to the wishes of our customers. For example, for participation in the first fair, which was held in Tiraspol on the eve of the Day of Light Industry, we selected the product, which were the most popular among the residents of the capital. It was predominantly luxury digital printed sateen and percale bed and table linen. In addition to traditional bed sets, we presented our new collections: "3D Collection" of premium-class sateen with 3D effect patterns; "Your style" Collection, including pillowcases, sheets and duvet covers made of cotton sheeting quality. Kitchen articles were also among the assortment offered to consumers: aprons, tablecloths, towels. The choice of the products presented for sale included a variety of colors and sizes. Tirotex is always glad to offer its customers a large selection of textile products for every taste and at affordable prices."

Margarita Minchenko, the Commodity Manager, is engaged in selecting the assortment of textile products and organization of the trade process. She told about the specifics character of textile business in this area: The textile market is very specific. Customers require not only good quality of fabrics, they have a demand for specific designs and patterns, which often depends on the peculiarities of mentality, nationality. We should consider the place of residence of the buyers. Although the territory of Pridnestrovie is very small, the preferences of residents in different regions of our country differ from each other. In some regions people like ornaments with juicy bright red elements of drawing, in other regions people prefer pastel blue, green and yellow shades. The marketing policy of our company is to meet the needs of each our customer."
